Product Overview
The tungsten carbide gauge blocks (also known as cemented carbide gauge blocks) produced by MISHUTE Precision (Meter Precision) are designed as measurement standards for industrial environments requiring extremely high wear resistance.
Made from ultra-fine grain tungsten carbide, their hardness (HV1500 and above) is far superior to that of conventional tool steels. In high-intensity measurement applications with frequent contact with workpieces, tungsten carbide gauge blocks effectively resist scratching and wear, ensuring long-term consistency of measurement data.
Each of our tungsten carbide gauge blocks undergoes multiple precision lapping processes, achieving extremely low surface roughness and excellent wringing performance. Combined with strict inspection in a 20°C constant-temperature laboratory, MISHUTE tungsten carbide gauge blocks provide a solid measurement foundation for aerospace, automotive manufacturing, and precision machining industries.

AQ about Tungsten Carbide Gauge Blocks
The biggest advantage of tungsten carbide gauge blocks is their superior impact resistance and high-density feel. Although ceramic also offers very high hardness, it is relatively brittle. Tungsten carbide maintains extreme hardness while offering better toughness, making it more resistant to chipping in workshop environments. In addition, its high density provides users with a more tactile and stable “wringing feel” during use.
Yes. The thermal expansion coefficient of tungsten carbide is approximately 4.2 × 10⁻⁶, while that of steel is about 11.5 × 10⁻⁶. When measuring steel workpieces outside a 20°C environment, temperature compensation is required. This is precisely why tungsten carbide is an ideal high-precision reference material in controlled laboratory conditions.
Tungsten carbide itself has excellent corrosion resistance, but rust spots may still occur in humid or corrosive environments. After use, it is recommended to wipe the surface with a lint-free cloth to remove fingerprints and moisture, apply a small amount of acid-free anti-rust oil, and store the blocks in a dry protective case.
