High-Precision Hardened Steel Pin Gauges | Gcr15 Bearing Steel Measuring Pins

White Steel Pin Gauge

In mechanical machining and quality control processes, white steel pin gauges (bearing steel/high-speed steel pin gauges) are the most widely used and cost-effective tools for hole diameter inspection.

The Mihe Precision (MISHUTE) white steel pin gauge series is made from high-quality GCr15 bearing steel and undergoes strict heat treatment and sub-zero treatment. This process effectively eliminates residual stress in the material, ensuring extremely high dimensional stability during long-term use.

As a classic product of Mihe Precision, our white steel pin gauges not only feature excellent hardness (HRC 58–65) and superior surface finish, but also pursue extreme precision in manufacturing. Whether used individually or as GO/NO-GO gauge sets, they provide fast and accurate on-site inspection in workshop environments.

Each white steel pin gauge is supplied with a Mihe factory inspection report, making it an essential high-precision reference tool for machining, metal cutting, and mold manufacturing industries.

Applications

Mold Making Used for inspecting guide pillar holes, ejector pin holes, and various cavity diameters in stamping and injection molds, ensuring precise mold assembly accuracy.
Metal Cutting In CNC turning and milling processes, it is used as a quick inspection tool to monitor whether part hole diameters are within tolerance limits.
Automotive Widely used for 100% inspection of hole diameters in engine components, transmission housings, and various chassis parts.
General Machinery Suitable for dimensional verification of precision mating components such as pumps, valves, hydraulic parts, and gear reducers.
Electronics Used for measuring micro-hole diameters in small electronic hardware components and precision connectors.

Packaging & Shipping

Anti-rust protection

Each white steel pin gauge is coated with high-performance anti-rust oil before leaving the factory and sealed in an airtight plastic tube, ensuring it remains rust-free even in humid sea freight conditions.

Color-coded labeling

Each protective tube is clearly labeled with specification and accuracy grade (e.g., Class X), allowing quick identification by quality control personnel in the workshop.

Heavy-duty packaging

Bulk sets are packed in aluminum cases or impact-resistant plastic boxes, with protective foam padding to prevent damage during transportation, ensuring the gauges arrive at any destination worldwide with their precision fully intact.

FAQ about Hardened Steel Pin Gauges

White steel contains high carbon and chromium content. Although it is heat-treated, it still requires rust prevention. After use, it is recommended to wipe the gauge clean with a lint-free cloth and apply a small amount of dedicated anti-rust oil. The gauges should be stored in a dry, constant-temperature environment. For completely maintenance-free solutions, we recommend our “ceramic pin gauge” series.

The biggest advantages of white steel pin gauges are their high cost-effectiveness and good toughness. They are resistant to accidental drops and impact, and their thermal expansion coefficient is similar to most metal workpieces. This provides a natural temperature compensation effect when measuring in non-temperature-controlled workshop environments.

Our manufacturing process includes rough grinding, precision grinding, and super finishing, followed by final inspection in a constant-temperature laboratory. With 100% full inspection using Swiss TESA and German Feinmess Jena length measuring instruments, we ensure that every pin gauge delivered to customers fully meets its specified tolerance.

All steel gauges will experience slight wear after frequent measurement of hard materials. We recommend regular periodic calibration. Mihe Precision provides comprehensive after-sales consultation to help you determine whether the gauge still meets your usage requirements.
