High-Precision
Tungsten Carbide Plug Gauges

What is a Ceramic Plug Gauges?

Precision is the foundation of trust—bringing reliable strength to every measurement.

Plain Plug Gauges, also known as Go/No-Go Gauges, are among the most essential and efficient limit gauges used for hole diameter inspection in machining.

The high-precision plug gauges produced by MISHUTE Precision are specially designed to meet stringent hole tolerance inspection requirements. Our products are manufactured in a strictly controlled 20°C constant-temperature workshop and undergo deep cryogenic treatment as well as sub-micron precision grinding. This process effectively eliminates internal material stress and ensures long-term dimensional stability.

Whether for precision assembly of aerospace components or micro-aperture inspection in medical devices, MISHUTE plug gauges deliver an exceptionally smooth measuring experience with extremely low friction and provide a truly reliable reference standard for accuracy.

Outstanding wear resistance and exceptional stability

In high-frequency batch inspection, gauge wear is one of the greatest risks leading to product misjudgment. Our core zirconia ceramic plug gauges and tungsten carbide plug gauges feature extremely high hardness (ceramic can reach HV1100–1300) and outstanding scratch resistance. In particular, ceramic materials offer excellent properties such as no rust, non-magnetic behavior, and a thermal expansion coefficient close to that of steel. They require no anti-rust oil during daily use, significantly reducing maintenance costs, and their service life is 5–10 times longer than traditional stainless steel gauges.

Sub-micron precision grinding process

MISHUTE Intelligent Machinery possesses strong machining and quality control capabilities. Leveraging imported high-precision grinding machines and polishing equipment, the surface roughness of the plug gauge measuring faces is strictly controlled below Ra 0.05μm, achieving a perfect mirror-like finish. This not only enhances wear resistance but also ensures minimal resistance when the gauge enters the workpiece hole, providing inspectors with the most precise and sensitive “measuring feel.”

Full-scenario non-standard customization services

In addition to standard cylindrical Go/No-Go plug gauges, we have a strong engineering team capable of providing highly customized solutions based on customer drawings or specific application conditions. Our customization includes but is not limited to: ultra-fine or oversized diameter plug gauges, vent-groove plug gauges, step plug gauges, extended-length plug gauges, as well as non-standard geometries such as hexagonal or spline (Torx-type) gauges. We fully meet the requirements of various complex inspection scenarios.

We support fast international shipping via DHL, FedEx, and other express carriers to Europe, North America, and worldwide. With robust packaging, we ensure high-precision instruments remain perfectly accurate throughout long-distance transportation.

FAQ about Plain Plug Gauges

The GO plug gauge corresponds to the maximum material condition of the workpiece hole (lower limit). During inspection, it must pass smoothly and completely through the tested hole without any excessive force or forcing.

The NO-GO plug gauge corresponds to the minimum material condition of the hole (upper limit). During inspection, it should only slightly enter the hole (typically no more than one-third of the gauge length) and must not pass through completely.

Used together, GO and NO-GO gauges allow for rapid determination of whether the hole diameter is within the allowable tolerance range.

The choice depends on your usage frequency and working environment.

  1. Stainless Steel (GCr15): Suitable for low-frequency measurement and cost-sensitive applications. Requires proper anti-rust maintenance.
  2. Ceramic: Highly recommended for high-frequency measurement. It offers extreme wear resistance (5–10 times that of steel), is rust-free, anti-static, unaffected by hand sweat, and virtually maintenance-free.
  3. Tungsten Carbide: The hardest option, suitable for inspecting high-hardness workpieces or abrasive materials such as cast iron. It provides excellent scratch resistance.

Absolutely. MISHUTE Intelligent Machinery is certified with CMC and ISO 9001. Each plug gauge is individually inspected before shipment in a 20°C constant-temperature laboratory using high-precision equipment from Swiss TESA or German Feinmess Jena.

We guarantee that the accuracy of our products fully withstands calibration and certification by any authoritative third-party metrology institution, both domestically and internationally.
